At the risk of sounding self-contradictory, I'd say the holidays have passed very swiftly. I remember beginning the month of November... The massive reading project which I tried to embark on. The packing for Jiangnan '04... Somehow one month has already past, and 2005 looms closer.
Sure enough, I've called much of the hols boring. Now, looking back (Well. I don't have to look very far do I?), it seems that I've wasted the holidays away, spending much of it calling it boring. Excellent use of time.
It doesn't help when I stare at the calender and notice how many events there are littered about. There wouldn't be much of a holiday. Not anymore. And to think how just a few weeks back I was wondering how to spend of that time. Well now its spent. And I've got chat logs of complaining how boring the hols were to prove it.
Its like, the only really memorable event in the span of about 6 weeks was a-little-more-than-1-week worth of Jiangnan '04. The rest of the time somehow disappeared. Vanished. Poof. Gone in a puff of smoke.
And the pile of homework sits not-so-snugly at my desk. A heap of new textbooks on the floor.
Oh 2005 looms alright.
And browsing through the pages of my newly bought textbooks. Two hundred dollars (1000 yuan. Eeeks.) worth of it. I conclude 2005 is going to be a loooong year.
Damn.
